Again, it is important to note that we are living in a Kingdom of Mysteries as seen in Mark 4:11, "And He said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the Kingdom of God: but to them that are outside all these things are done in parables"
One may wonder what is feet washing and how is feet washing a mystery? let me first start by saying, Christianity is not a title, Being a Christian means that one is Christ-like and Being Christ-like means first believing in what our Master, Jesus did, obeying Him and emulating His works. Now, this mystery of feet washing did not just erupt from somewhere, No. As a matter of fact, Jesus commanded us to apply the mystery of feet washing after He showed us and example by washing the feet of His disciples.
See for yourself in John 13:3-15, "Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. - And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; - Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; - He rises from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. - After that he pours water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. - Then comes he to Simon Peter: and Peter says unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? - Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou know not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. - Peter says unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. - Simon Peter says unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. - Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. - For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. - So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? - Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. - If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. - For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you".
Mysteries can be defined as the ways of God to deal with the evil of this world (Isaiah 55:8). They are authenticate by testimonies. Most times the only way to understand mysteries is by the testimonies that erupt from it. Don't try to understand mysteries, Peter tried and Jesus replied in Verse 7 of John 13 and "Jesus answered and said to him, What I do you know not now, but you shall know hereafter". In other words don't try to understand it, just believe it and you will know by the testimonies that erupt from it.
- A woman that was mysteriously pregnant for years, after her feet was washed in a feet washing service, she went straight to labor. it was to everyone a mystery how a pregnant woman could be pregnant for years, but the mystery of feet washing was used to fight that mystery.
-A 22 year old man had this ordeal. Every time he eats, he vomits and eats it back, all his life he has lived like that, but after his feet was washed in a feet washing service, that foul spirit left him, once and for all, he now eats one time and doesn't vomit anymore.
-A 24 year old girl who has been plagued with sickle cell anemia after her feet was washed in a feet washing service went to various hospitals for a genotype test and it was confirmed that her genotype is AA. Jesus set her free forever.
This is no joke, otherwise Jesus would not have asked us to do as He did. So many other testimonies erupting from feet washing. All they did was to believe the mystery and it marveled them how they got free. Mysteries might not make sense to the natural mind but only fools doubt proofs. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
some challenges in your life might be mysterious such that you don't even understand how you got into it. you are still unable to explain how the plaque came on you, well I'm here to announce to you that, there is a greater mystery that can be used to fight it. The same way you don't understand how you got to where you are now, you won't need to understand how will come out of it. it is Mystery Vs Mystery. Just like you don't know their mystery, they too don't know your Mystery (Mark 4:11). Higher power of the Kingdom of God Vs Lower power of devil and his agents. I don't need to tell you who will win, you already know. Luke 11:21-22 says, "When a strong man armed keeps his palace, his goods are in peace: - But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divides his spoils". so Relax!
Now What is Feet Washing?
- Feet Washing is simply a Spiritual medium through which we take our hanging inheritances in Christ. 2 Peter 1:3, "According to His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and Godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to Glory and virtue". Just like our natural parents prepared for you before you were born, Jesus already prepared for us before we became born again. He paid the price providing us with everything. Jesus called us to Glory and virtue and He showed in John 13:8, that Feet washing is a medium of accessing our inheritances in Him when He told Peter "If I wash you not, you have no part with Me" No wonder He instructed we should do as He did.
- Feet Washing is an antidote to death. It might interest you to know that Feet Washing existed even before Jesus came to earth. In Exodus 30: 18-21, we see that Feet washing is a practice of priesthood under Mosaic Law. "Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: - When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD: - So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations". Just as God spoke to Moses about the Mystery of Anointing oil, He also spoke to him about Mystery of Feet Washing, and Jesus said in Matthew 5:17, "Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy it but to fulfill". Jesus re enacted feet washing by washing the feet of His disciples.
- Feet washing is a Spiritual medium of transference of the life of Christ. So when our feet are washed, we practically connect to the nature of Christ. In other words, whatever cannot be seen in Jesus, will never be seen in you. Jesus said in John 20:21, " Peace be to you: as My father has sent Me, so sent I you" and in John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father". So if Jesus was never sick, it then means that that sickness must drop in that water as your feet is being washed.
