Beware of Hypcrites!

Hypocrisy is a common thing among believers in our today's society. This is the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. This is judging people in standards that you yourself, acting as the judge do not measure up to.
Jesus speaking in John 8:7 said to the accusers of the adulterous woman, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast stone at her".

There are so many teachings and warnings on hypocrisy, I will like us to meditate on.

1 John 4:20

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

James 1:26

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Matthew 7:5

''Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye''

Matthew 6:1

"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in Heaven".

Matthew 7:1-5

Judge not, that ye be not judged. - For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. - And why behold thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considers not the beam that is in thine own eye? - Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? - Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Matthew 15:7-9

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, - This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. - But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men

Romans 2:3

''And thinks thou this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?''.

1 John 2:9

''And thinks thou this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?''.

James 2:14-16

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? - If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, - And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Luke 12:2

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

2 Timothy 3:5

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves''.

1 John 2:4

He that says, I know Him, and keep not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Titus 1:16

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Matthew 7:21-23

Not every one that say unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity''.

Romans 2:1-5

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judges: for wherein thou judges another, thou condemns thyself; for thou that judges, does the same things. - But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. - And thinks thou this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? - Or despises thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance? - But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God

Galatians 6:3

For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself

Psalm 101:7

He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight

1 Peter 2:16

As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

1 John 1:6

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth

Matthew 6:5

And when thou prays, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

From these teachings of the Bible, it is clear that hypocrites are merely deceiving themselves. Please do not be like the ones whom Jesus was referring to on Mathew 7:22-23, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? - And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity''.

It is never too late to amend your ways and reconnect back to Jesus, if you would like to return back and reconnect with God, or you haven't even accepted Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, please say this prayer and mean it," Lord Jesus, I come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17). May the Grace of the Lord be with you all, AMEN. God Bless You All.
