The Spirit of Power.

In every man's promise land, there are giants that must be pulled down. Let no one think that he can pull down these giants by their power, biceps, wisdom, beauty, riches, and so on, else you will be doomed. Jesus stated in John 6:63, the flesh profits nothing. Listen, there are forces that must be cut down for your destiny to be released and it takes power. not human power but Spiritual power. No wonder Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. we can see that the enemy also has power so you cannot come to him without a superior power, else you will be in a worse situation, don't try it. And if you are thinking of just staying calm, 1 Corinthians 16:9 says, "For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries" these adversaries can only give way with the Spirit of power so if you do not want to enter any great door, God has packaged for you then stay calm and watch people accelerate higher. the devil is even looking for whom to use for experiment (1 Peter 5:8). Nobody wants that right? that's why the Jesus said in Matthew 11:12, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force".

2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind". The question now is, Do you have this Spirit of Power? Jesus speaking in John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life". In Good News Translation it say 'Human power is of no use at all'.  There are indications in the Bible where Jesus gave His disciples this Spirit of Power while He was on earth. In Luke 10:17-19, when the seventy that Jesus sent out returned with their testimonies, Jesus said in verse 19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Jesus Himself called His twelve disciples and gave them power in Luke 9:1, "Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases". This shows us that before we can achieve that which we desire, before the devil can give way for you too possess your inheritance, you must have The Spirit of Power. If you must enter your promise land, you must pull down every giant and to pull down every giant, you need the Spirit of Power. This kind of Power is not about grammar, it can only be given by God. 

In case, there is an evil habit that has been tormenting you, you need power from God over that unclean spirit, see Matthew 10:1, "And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease".

Now the purpose of this Spirit of Power must be clearly defined otherwise, you stand the chance of abusing it, so let's see the essence of the Spirit of Power;

1. The Spirit of Power is given primarily because of the enemy. Psalms 110:1-3, "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. - The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. - Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth". See also Psalm 8:2,"Out of the mouth of babes and suckling hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou might still the enemy and the avenger". The Spirit of Power is given primarily to still the enemy and the avenger, so in case there is an enemy you wan to still and shut out, there is good news, the Spirit of power against that enemy is available all you need to do is ask God for it. Remember Jesus gave His disciples power over all devils so ask Him for yours, He will give you too. Until Elijah got that he won't have been able to cross Jordan (2 Kings 2:9). There is what you must connect with to cross to the next level.
2.  The Spirit of Power establishes your dominion over life's situation and circumstances. you become a dangerous zone for the devil so all obstacles are already cleared even before you get there. You become like fire to the enemy. For instance, you cannot tell a mad man to stay away from fire, as mad he is, he still knows that fire can burn, so he stays clear at all times, that is how it is for a child of God who is intoxicated with the Spirit of Power. it makes you in charge, destroying fear which is a weapon of the enemy against the Children of God. When the Spirit enters into you, it drives you.

please do not be like the seven sons of Sceva, who tried to cast out an evil spirit and the evil spirit replied them in Acts 19:15 saying, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?". They didn't have the power from God and so instead of attacking and casting out the devil, the man with the evil spirit attacked them with such violence that he overpowered them all, as seen in Acts 19:16. they were even wounded and their clothes were torn. so you see that if we must put up a fight against the enemy and win, then we must have this Spirit of Power which comes from God. It is not just spoken words, it is the intoxication of power from God for display, and be warned, the devil knows if you have it or not, like in the story of the sons of Sceva, so it is not something you can fake.

You cannot experience the Power of God without a thirst and a longing, Psalms 63:1-2, "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsts for thee, my flesh longs for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; - To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary". the Spirit of Power answers to a genuine thirst, you must go to God in prayers thirsting for and coveting this Spirit of Power (1 Corinthians 12:31). first things first,  if you have not received Christ, you cannot receive the Spirit of Power no matter how much you yearn for if. Christ is the only way. if you are not saved, you are not safe, if you are not sure, then you are not saved. if you would like to give your life to Christ or maybe you fell off at some point and you would like to return back and reconnect with God, say this prayer and mean it," Lord Jesus, I come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17).
