Fighting Timidity!

A lot of Christians today are wallowing in timidity, the enemy has rubbed most people of their inheritance in Christ due to timidity, but why would a Christian who believes in Christ and knows all the enviable inheritance he has in Christ still be timid and fret over unbelievers??? Once you become a president of a country or even a group whether by appointment or election, you are bold because you know the kind of authority you command how much more a child of God, Christ Ambassador. I have come to understand that ignorance is a major cause of timidity. "When you are not informed, you are deformed" - Bishop David Oyedepo. So let's go over some of the reasons in the Bible why a child of God should never be timid, no matter who is involved;
  1. 1 John 4:4, "you are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world". we have a greater power in us, God lives in us. since the Owner of the whole world and everything in it, why then should a Christian be timid?
  2. 1 John 5:4, "For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith", there is no battle we cannot win because we are born of God, so stop scared of the battles, you will definitely emerge a victor.
  3. 2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of God". we are reflecting the glory of God, so we must confront every situation with boldness.
  4. John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say to you, he that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do always; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father". Jesus said we must do greater works than He did!!! all great things that Jesus did are there for us to know what we must become in even greater dimensions.
  5. Ephesians 2:6, "And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus". we are simply on earth on a mission to dominate, our main inhabitant is Heaven, so the people on earth should fret at our appearance.
  6. John 3:31, "He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth: He that comes from Heaven is above all", because we came from Heaven, there is no situation that we cannot dominate, we are above all.
  7. Ephesians 3:12, "in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Him. Boldness is as a result of faith. when you believe in something, you are bold to defend that particular thing.
  8. Acts 28:31, "Preaching the Kingdom of God and preaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no man forbidding him". there is no need to be ashamed of the gospel, it is stupidity to be shameful of what is gainful.
  9. Philippians 1:20, "According to my earnest expectation and my hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death". even in prayers we must come boldly to God, we must not come beggarly, He is our Father who loves us so much. disobedience is a barrier to boldness, remember Adam, the moment he disobeyed, he became timid and even hid himself. that shall never be our portion in Jesus name.
to be bold confront that mountain and be free from it, you have to be born again, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, then that is a major hindrance to your prayers, if you are not saved, you are not safe, if you are not sure, then you are not saved. if you would like to give your life to Christ, say this prayer and mean it,
"Lord Jesus, I have come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17). Be Blessed.
