If Only You Knew!

Brethren, if you are not informed, no matter the level of power or authority you command, you would be deformed". Ignorance kills destiny, and ignorance is not an excuse. Jesus told the Samaritan woman in John 4:10, if only you knew the gift of God and who is it that says to you. In verse 20, we see that she actually believes in God and in verse 25, she was convinced that the Messiah would come, As a matter of fact she knew the name of the Messiah but yet she was still ignorant. This is very rampant in today's society, some Christians claim to know God and they are even ready to argue for hours on issues concerning the Kingdom of God but yet they are ignorant and the Bible said in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to Me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children" and Ephesians 4:18 says, "Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart".
it is very important that before we go about showing people and telling them we know the Word of God it is better that we first gain deeper insight and build up ourselves in the realm of the supernatural with revelation from the Word of God. Remember the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 10:12 says, "Wherefore let Him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall".

First of all, as Christians, we must be sure to be filled with the Holy Spirit, Ephesian 5:18, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess: but be filled with the Spirit"
one of the works of the Spirit is revelation. John 16:13, "However when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come"

It is not enough to have the Spirit of Revelation, we must engage the Spirit of Revelation always. Here, are some of the ways we can engage the Spirit of Revelation;
  1. Attend to the Word of God from the mouth of Prophets, Pastors, and all anointed people of God. Proverbs 4:20-22. there are things that they teach that might take us years to find out  by ourselves. They themselves have their teachers too. God anointed them to teach us His word, for the perfecting of the understanding of the Saints. Psalm 73:17 says "Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their ends". In 2 Chronicles 20:20b, "Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established; believe His prophets, so shall you prosper".
  2. Attend to readings. Joshua 1:8, "The book of the law shall not depart from your mouth but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you might observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous and then you shall have good success". we must keep engaging the Holy Spirit before reading the Word of God so He can interpret for us as we read. This is very vital. Paul speaking in 1 Timothy 4:13, "Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine".
  3. Study, Search; this is what I call craving to know more. it is being thirsty for the Word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth". As you engage the Holy Spirit in a quest for more knowledge of Word of God on a particular issue, you would be amazed at the realm of revelation you would graduate to on that issue. Revelation 21:6, "And He said to me, it is done, I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the End. I will give to him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely".
Note that this is a continuous process. we can never get enough of the Word of God. Once you stop learning, you start dying, that is why sometimes we see people that used have the anointing of the Holy Ghost but now they don't have it anymore, because the Holy Spirit cannot be idle, we must always engage Him otherwise someday we would look for Him and not find Him. To keep the oil fresh upon our lives we  must attend to the teachings of anointed servants of God, we must attend to readings, both the Word of God and other anointed books of the Lord, and lastly we must study and search for more insights in the Word of God concerning any particular issue.

first things first, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, then the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in us according to 1 Corinthians 6:19, if you are not saved, you are not safe, if you are not sure, then you are not saved. if you would like to give your life to Christ, say this prayer and mean it,
"Lord Jesus, I come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17). Be Blessed.
