It's not enough to go where He commands, Is He really In your ship?

Ever Wondered why it was Jesus who constrained His disciples to go into the ship and to go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away (Matthew 14:22), and yet they had storms?, so if Jesus was the One Who instructed them to go, why then did they have tribulations?? I mean since it was in obedience to Jesus. Simple, the answer is that they were actually going as Jesus has instructed them to but they weren't going with Jesus, Jesus wasn't on the ship. My Fellow Christians, it is one thing to obey God, it is another thing for Him to be on your ship while you are obeying Him. You might say you have been obeying Christ, why then do you have tribulations and trials, why do you still have storms? let me ask you, Is Jesus in your ship?? yes, you might be going where he said you should go but Is He Really In Your Ship? Is Jesus living in you? (2 Corinthians 13:5, Romans 8:10).  In Matthew 14:32, the Scripture said, "And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased".

let's not also forget that the only time Jesus was in a boat and there was still storm was simply because He was asleep. So we now see clearly it is not just having Jesus in your boat but you must make sure you are engaging Him in prayers, letting Him know your needs always, remember they had to wake Him up to tell Him their problem of the storm then He calmed it. no wonder the Word of God in James 4:2b said, "yet you have not because you ask not", also remember the parable Jesus narrated to give us an illustration to prayer in Luke 18:1-7, where a widow who came to the corrupt Judge to ask for justice against her adversary, the judge did not do anything initially but because the widow didn't give up but kept on asking, the judge said, "Though I fear not God, nor regard man,yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me, (Luke 18: 4-5), and in verse 6-8, "And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says, And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night to Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?"

Note this, that you cry unto God day and night, doesn't mean He isn't hearing you, it doesn't mean He has forgotten, just always know that He is working out things in your favor, you might not see it but trust God, Deuteronomy 31:5 says, "Be strong and be of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord, your God He it is that does go with you: He will not fail you, nor forsake you" God said in Joel 2: 26b "And My people shall never be ashamed" He went on to stress it again in verse 27b. I told us in one of the previous post on the series involved in Joseph's emergence. God was working for Him but He wasn't seeing it, but He just believed that God was working and when the planned was fully blown, A prisoner emerged a prime minister just in a day. wow! it involved processes which Joseph didn't know about, all He saw was the result.

Things to Note
1. Give your life to Christ
2. Obey Christ and enter the ship to where He has said you should go
3. Make sure You are going with Him, Make sure He is living in you, Make sure you are living right, Remember He lives in us. ask Him to come and live with you and go with you, He will. Don't be like the people that Jesus was talking about in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone that says to me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of the Father which is in Heaven. - Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in your name? and in Your name have cast out evils? and in Your name done many wonderful works? - And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity". It's very important that Jesus is going with you.
4. Is not just going with Him, are you letting Him sleep on the ship?. it's time to wake Him up and tell Him about the storm.
5. Persevere in prayers. Hebrews 10:36-37, "For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise - for yet a little while He that shall come will come, and will not tarry".

Imitate Father Abraham, Hebrews 6:11-15, "And we desire that everyone of you do show same diligence to the full assurance of hope till the end - That you be not slothful but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises - For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He swore by Himself, - Saying surely blessing, I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you, - And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise'

First things first, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, then this is an opportunity for you, if you are not saved, you are not safe, if you are not sure, then you are not saved. if you would like to give your life to Christ or maybe you fell off at some point and you would like to return back and reconnect with God, say this prayer and mean it,
"Lord Jesus, I come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17). Be Blessed.
