Mystery Behind Expedite Answers To Prayers.

Greetings Everyone,
A new day, a new mystery is unraveled, Thank God. Let's briefly look at the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel in 1 Kings 18: 20-40, verse 24 says, "and call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God that answers by fire, let Him be God. And all the people answered and said, it is well spoken".
The contest was to put an end to the worship of baal, so an altar of sacrifice was laid using a bullock and each party will call for fire to come down and consume the sacrifice thereby proving that the God that sent down fire is a prayer answering GOD and therefore the only real GOD. Now some things should be notable in this contest:

  1.  Elijah carefully planned this through the help of the Spirit. from verse 23, we are told that Elijah gave all the instructions "Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock and lay it on wood and put no fire under". Brethren, you can only give instructions about something, when you have a clue of what it takes, otherwise you are heading to destruction, instructions emanate from a plan, without a plan the answers to your prayers might take forever to be answered. you must know what you want and how you think it can be achieved for you to pray that specific prayer that will trigger your answers from God remember the story of the blind Bartimaeus, He kept on calling on Jesus to have mercy on Him but when Jesus drew near, He asked "what do you want me to do for you?" Mark 10:46-52.
  2. This is the part that stoked me, when the prophets of baal called to their god and never got answers, Elijah didn't just build an altar of sacrifice like the prophets of baal did, Elijah built an altar of sacrifice with the twelve stones representing the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name" (1 Kings 18:30-32). What has the Lord said about your case in the Scriptures, because the Bible made us understand that there is no new case. so you must locate the case in the Bible and locate the WHO, WHEN and HOW. take for instance someone believing God for a fruit of the womb, God has already said there shall be no barren in His land, now who had the same issue in the Bible? take Hannah for example, was her prayer answered? yes and Now how did she get her answer? Brethren there must be something to do to get answers to our prayers, Hannah was specific she asked for a man child not just a child. Hannah Labored in Prayer, she made a vow to God (1 Samuel 1:11). if you know your God, you must know the covenant way to receiving things from HIM, one may ask how can we know the covenant ways? simple by imitating what our Fathers in the faith did, Hebrew 13:7 says, "Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken to you the Word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation" Good News translation said "Remember your former leaders, who spoke God's message to you. think back on how they lived and died, and imitate their faith". in 1 Cor 11:1 Paul said "Be you followers of me, even as I am also of Christ". look for scriptures referring to your issue in the Bible and war with it in prayer.
  3. Elijah didn't stop with the 12 stones that represented the 12 tribes of Israel. He pushed his faith further, he filled four barrels with water and poured it in the burnt sacrifice and on the wood (verse 33) and in verse 34, he said "Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time, and they did it the third time. Erhmmm... why would he go through that long protocol? after all is it not just for God to send fire from Heaven to consume a sacrifice? and God is a miracle worker and prayer answering God, so why all the long protocol??? wow! we need to go beyond mere Christianity thoughts and understand deeply the mystery of how it works in the Kingdom. There is always what to do to get your answers speedily. verse 35 said "And water ran round about the altar; and filled the trench also with water" then He started calling onto God, then He started praying producing his strong reasons before God, Note that he prepared even before praying. so our preparation must precede our prayers, our preparation is as vital as our prayers.
Elijah understood that for fire come, petroleum is needed and since there was no petroleum available he made use of the liquid that was available which is water. since no petroleum, well then water has to be turned as fuel, water must do the work of fuel now. use what is available to push down you answers speedily. remember the story of Elisha and the widow in 2 Kings 4, whose challenge was that a man the husband owed money before he died is coming to take her 2 sons as slave in payment for her husband's debt, but Elisha asked her "what do you have at home" and she said nothing save a pot of oil and Elisha gave her orders on what to do and that small pot of oil turned out to be a medium for the delivering speedy answers to her prayers. Imagine if she did not accept she had something, she would have been on that spot for long. Some people just sit and wait until whenever God answers them. if you want something now, do something now. let God know you are ready, He needs to see that readiness in you.

let me conclude by asking this question, Imagine there is drought and someone has been prayer and fasting for God to send rain so she can have water for cooking and for all her domestic use, without having any vessel out there where the rain can fall into, do u think she will ever have water to use??? even if God sends rain from now till tomorrow she won't still have water, as a matter of fact, it is the amount of vessel you put out that determines the amount of water you will get, or perhaps she is waiting for God to bring in the water into her house, some of us are like that, you are waiting for God to open the roof and pour the rain into all your vessels. that might even be a problem for you because you might not even have shelter anymore as your house will be flooded.

lets be wise and always remember there has to be a planting and a watering before God can yield an increase (1 Cor 3:6).
first thing first, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, then that is a major hindrance to your prayers, if you are not saved, you are not safe, if you are not sure, then you are not saved. if you would like to give your life to Christ, say this prayer and mean it,
"Lord Jesus, I have come to You today, I accept that I am a sinner and I confess my sins and repent from them. I believe that You died on the cross of Calvary for my sins. Thank You for forgiving me. today I am saved, I am born again. thank You Jesus". if you said this prayer congratulations, you are now a child of God, so let go of the past evil ways, for the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things are become new (2 Cor 5:17). Be Blessed.
